Aims & Objectives

Our wish is to help promote The Auckland Rowing Club as being the premier rowing club in New Zealand through your donations to specific funds within the trust.

Our aspiration is to give the rowers in our club as much assistance as possible.

The sole purpose of the Auckland Rowing Club Building and Legacy Trust (ARCBLT) is to support the activities of The Auckland Rowing Club and the maintenance of the building.

The Trust is administered by an elected group of long-standing members of the Club, who oversee donations and ensure these are used in the manner intended by the donors - you. The Club’s Executive committee has a strategic plan to make ARC one of the most desirable rowing clubs in the region.

The Legacy Trust’s role is to support that by channelling financial assistance to the Club in accordance with donors’ wishes. The Club’s Executive Committee and The Trust are separate, but work together to ensuring that members of the Club have access to high quality facilities, plant, equipment, coaching, training and coxing so they can perform at their best and achieve their highest goals at all levels of the sport.

Whether it's recreational rowing national championships, national selection or Olympic participation, we don’t set bounds and we’re committed to supporting them. Our aspiration is to today’s rowers the assistance they need today and to ensure the Club’s legacy is protected into the future.
