The Club's success hasn't been a consequence of good luck

The Club & Rowing

If measured by performance at the Olympic Games, Rowing is New Zealand’s most successful sporting code. In fact allowing for athlete numbers and resources, New Zealand is also arguably the most successful rowing nation in the World.

This success hasn’t been a consequence of good luck, it has happened because the sport has benefited from a succession of great leaders, who have left behind a legacy of infrastructure, organisations, and culture, that have been the foundation for success.

The Auckland Rowing Club has had a big part to play in this at all levels. Formed in 1869, The ARC is one of New Zealand’s oldest sporting organisations. Throughout its the club’s Legacy has benefited from the generosity of its members, supporters and partners. The Auckland Rowing Club Legacy Trust (the Legacy Trust) has been formed to be the guardian of that Legacy, and to ensure it is sustained into the future.

Your generous, tax deductible, donation - be it a one off or re-curring to one of the funds, or if you wish to leave a donation in your will, will ensure that the club will be able to carry on our proud tradition for the next 150 years.

The Legacy Trust is tasked with being an important partner in delivering that vision by being;

  1. A tax efficient link between financial supporters and the Auckland Rowing Club.
  2. A custodian to look after donors and their wishes.
  3. Ensuring the Auckland Rowing Club survives and flourishes in its 2nd 150 years.
  4. Supporting access to and opportunities in the sport of rowing.
